Ground Beef Lettuce Wraps
Ground beef cooked with carrot, bell pepper, and onions served inside a lettuce wrap.
Step 1/4
Cook the Beef
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the lean ground beef with salt and pepper to taste and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until it is no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
Step 2/4
Prepare the Filling
Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet with the cooked beef and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in the soy sauce and hoisin sauce. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the mixture is well combined and heated through. Add the julienned carrot, thinly sliced bell pepper, and chopped green onions. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are slightly tender but still crisp. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add the lime juice and mix well.
Step 3/4
Assemble the Lettuce Wraps
Wash and pat dry the lettuce leaves. Spoon the beef and vegetable mixture evenly onto each lettuce leaf. Garnish with fresh cilantro if desired.
Step 4/4
Serve
Arrange the lettuce wraps on a plate and serve immediately.
